Researcher & Analyst in M365 Copilot
Microsoft has added Researcher and Analyst to its Microsoft 365 Copilot suite – two specialized AI assistants aimed at boosting workplace efficiency. The Researcher tool assists with tackling intricate, multi-stage research projects by integrating OpenAI’s deep research model with Copilot’s coordination features. Meanwhile, the Analyst function operates similarly to an expert data scientist, leveraging OpenAI’s o3-mini reasoning model for sophisticated data analysis. These agents will become accessible to Microsoft 365 Copilot users beginning on April 2025 via the newly launched ‘Frontier’ initiative, which offers early access to Copilot advancements yet to be fully developed.
